Hotel SPITZ  

There are treadmills, rowing machines and a sauna in the hotel's fitness centre. In recognition of Linz's being awarded the title of 'European Capital of Culture' in 2009 every floor of the hotel has been designed around an art or cultural centre in Linz. In cooperation with regional artists, such as ISA Stein (architecture, and overall conception), Andreas Thaler (furniture), Ernst Mitterndorfer (lighting), as well as the numerous students at the Kunstuniversität Linz, the hotel's furniture and pictures have been co-ordinated to create these Linz-orientated themes. Rooms offer views of the New Town Hall, Bernaschek Park, the Schlossberg or the Spitz's quiet inner courtyard. All rooms have a sizeable flat screen television. A disabled room is available.
