Since the grand opening in 1870, the Grand Hotel Wien was famous for being at the very hub of Viennese social life - and it still is today! The hotel’s glittering past and shining future have been fused together when the Grand Hotel Wien re-opened in 1994. Despite its long and rich history, the hotel is one of the most modern and luxurious hotels in Austria today. The hotel features a Japanese speciality restaurant, "Unkai", which has been awarded by Gault Millau. The award-winning gourmet restaurant "Le Ciel", which is also located on the 7th floor, serves a combination of Viennese and French cuisine over the rooftops of Vienna. There is also a terrace which is open during the summer season. The "Grand Café", a restaurant in the style of a Viennese coffee shop, is found on the first floor. Additionally, the hotel features the "Kavalierbar", the lobby bar "Rosengarten", 12 conference rooms and a spectacular ballroom, and offers free internet access. A health club with state-of-the-art training equipment is open 24 hours and is free of charge. Spa treatments are available upon request in your room. The 19 more than magnificent and spacious Junior Suites measure 60 sqm. Located at different floors, all Junior Suites offer a sensational view of the city. They are luxuriously furnished with a comfortable couch and two chairs and either a king size or twin beds. The decoration is held in soft green colours, which gives the suite a very relaxing atmosphere. The lavish bathroom is made out of marble and is equipped with a double washbasin.

The award-winning restaurant “Le Ciel”, offering creative creations of French cuisine, and the traditional Japanese speciality restaurant “Unkai”, which was awarded 2 points by “Gault Millau”, are especially worth mentioning.
During summertime we invite you to enjoy exquisite meals at our unique rooftop terrace, while overlooking the roofs of Vienna.
For busy guests we offer the new restaurant “Unkai-Sushi”, situated on the ground floor. The focus here is on sushi, sashimi and bento boxes. Enjoy your meal directly at the “Unkai-Sushi” or have it prepared for take-away.
