For decades, this hotel has been among the most renowned hotels in Odense. Its location, in the middle of the charming and lively town centre with shops, pedestrian streets and cafes gives the hotel a very special atmosphere. Hans Christian Andersens fairytale Odense is home to some of the countrys most fascinating and inspiring attractions. The world-famous writer was born only a couple of hundred metres from the hotel, and today, H. C. Andersen Housen is a very interesting museum. Modern art is well served by several of the citys galleries and the Brandts Cultural Centre. Fishing is permitted, and the golf courses, only a few km from the city, are of international standard. Egeskov Castle and the Fyn Village open-air museum also offer a world of experiences. Public transport network as well as bus and railway stations can be reached in 10 minutes on foot. It is a 20-minute drive to the beach around 10 km away. Built in 1898, this air-conditioned hotel was completely renovated in 2006 and comprises a total of 60 rooms, one junior suite, and three apartments, all in classic Windsor style.
